Hi all,
Narrandera
The Festival at Narrandera was well -attended. Fantastic weather, some different venues including the local swimming pool which is a brilliant outside venue except for a few mozzies.
Lots of music all weekend---a festival of verse and song.
Corryong
The verse side of the festival is getting bigger and better every year; The Poets’ Breakfasts had the best attendances yet and once again a lot of new faces.
The re-enactment was huge and the sight of thousands of people spread out along the fence line watching the horses thundering down the hillside makes the hairs stand up on the back of the neck. Most events had full houses including the ANZAC tribute and the Lee Kernaghan concert was well-attended, if a bit hard to see and hear. My ' Banjo ' shows and Bards & Bushrangers had great crowds and a standing ovation at my last show – which is always a humbling feeling. The snowy challenge with all the events is an amazing competition and every year never fails to attract a huge crowd. Congratulations to Jan Lewis for her incredible work of organizing and for being awarded the volunteers award by the festival organisers, well deserved.
