Unfortunately I will be away for the whole weekend, and so once again I will miss this meeting. However it promises to be a great afternoon. If anyone is competing at the Victorian championships at Benalla the following weekend, this Sunday would be a great opportunity to practice your poems or songs.

This year has been a full on year for Colin and myself being involved in BRIT courses. The courses are great, but they play havoc with time spent working simultaneously. One of the subjects I’m doing is poetry, and as I’m in the minority with the sort of rhyming verse I tend to do, it makes for interesting class discussions. I must say it’s been a lot of fun experimenting with other sorts of poems, Bretonic, Villanue, non-rhyming etc.
