Bush Poets in Bendigo Club Programme

In 2003 a small band of bush poets got together to form a bush poets Club in Bendigo. Instigated by Colin Carrington, this group has been a long time coming.
In a city the size of Bendigo (some 60.000 people) there would have to be a large
number of people who once they realise how entertaining Bush poetry can be would gladly be entertained by such a group. Monthly Concerts are held at the White Horse Hotel on the
2nd Sunday of even numbered months, excluding DecemberTime :
2PM - 5PM (Meals are available from 12 noon when Hotel opens; to 2pm.) Venue : WHITEHORSE HOTEL Eaglehawk Rd, California Gully Victoria has been lagging behind the Northern States with the interest in Bush Poetry but now has several
groups in Victoria.

- Central Goldfields BUSH POETS
- Corryong Bush Poets
The emphasis for the Bendigo club is not just on Bush Poetry but but includes Aussie music as well.
Bendigo Folk Club Since the formation of the
Central goldfields Bush Poets a Bendigo folk club has been formed, which gives another outlet for Australian verse and music.
All are welcome, to perform or enjoy an afternoon of Australian verse and song. Admission is free.
The
participants so far have included Colin Carrington, Geoffrey W Graham, Ric Raftis, Gael Nikkelson, Leo Reither, Phil Gallagher, Don McKinnon, Geoff Coutts, Jessie hallows, Peter 'Whipstick' Worthington, Jill
Meehan, Eddie Scott, Peter Bell, Carol Reffold, Molly and Johno and many others.
